Also, when Chinese you are good. Later it will be easier to learn other languages such as Japanese and Korean.
You see, there are many reasons to learn Chinese right away. If you are ready, let’s explore the main issue: How to learn Chinese?
First, we need to answer the question:
2. Is learning Chinese difficult?
Oh, of course it’s hard. Learning a new language is never easy.
BUT, the hard is the wisdom. Which one is difficult, we will find an easy approach. Here, I will point out the easy and difficult points when learning Chinese.
a) Easy point
Say the easy points first so that you guys have the motivation to learn:
Listening, Speaking: In my opinion, this is a very convenient language for learning to listen and speak. Of course, it’s easier than other languages, not so easy. For example, English – reading is exhausting. In general, Chinese has a relatively easy pronunciation, some sounds are quite similar to Vietnamese. Therefore, listening to Chinese is also a lot easier.
Grammar: Similar to Vietnamese, of course there are other places. Overall easy to learn, easy to remember.
Pinyin advantage: Vietnam is heavily influenced by Chinese culture. So Sino-Vietnamese words are used very often until now.
Strong community : If you want to learn Chinese, there are very large groups on facebook, reaching hundreds of thousands of members. In addition, Chinese language teaching centers are also numerous. There are also many online Chinese courses.
So it’s no advantage to learn Chinese. Now let’s move on to the difficulty.
b) Difficulty Points
It is not a native language, so it will be difficult to learn Chinese. Especially when learning to write, the Chinese alphabet is an expressive script. Sort of words that signify something. This was a long time ago, the kanji system was made up of the sketch drawings I wanted to show.
In Vietnam, we are using the Alphabet system (abcde …). So having to get used to the beginning with lines is really difficult. But that’s okay, the Chinese writing style has its rules. Let’s find out later.
In all, Chinese is both difficult to learn and easy to learn. Just try, hard, the iron also sharpens on the needle.
Read up to here, if you still want to learn Chinese, there is another problem:
3. Learn Chinese Simplified or Traditional Chinese
Before choosing simplified or traditional. We need to classify Chinese and clarify two issues.
Simplified, traditional is the spelling, not including pronunciation.
The pronunciation is divided into two categories: Standard Chinese (roughly Beijing or Mandarin ) and local Chinese ( Taiwan , Cantonese , Wu: Chinese …).
In this article, I just mentioned standard Chinese pronunciation. So now we’re going to look at simplified and traditional words.
First, I will tell you a story.
Traditional Han characters are now called traditional. The quintessence of the Chinese nation from thousands of generations ago. Each word has a origin, there are lessons to teach how to be human
“Human simplicity, goodness” ( 人 之初 ， 性 本 善 ) to “Human illiteracy and meaninglessness” ( 人 不 學 ， 不知 義 ): talking about human nature as goodness and importance with the teacher’s teaching and the child’s learning.
But until the Chinese Communist Party came to power. They say that in order to eliminate illiteracy, a new, simpler and easier way to learn is needed. Listening to this new way of education is also a bit related. But, the underlying reason is that the Chinese Communist Party’s drawing does not match the ancient philosophy. We will not go into politics any more but take practical examples.
For example, writing: From LOVE in Simplified Chinese were interested brief walk 心 . It also means: Love without a heart. Haizzzzzzz
Area Voice Writing style
China Standard Chinese, dialect Simplified
Hong Kong Cantonese, standard Chinese Traditional, Simplified
Taiwan Standard Chinese, Fujian Traditional
Singapore Standard Chinese, Mandarin Chinese Simplified
Macau Cantonese (majority) Simplified
Of course, these countries also use many other languages such as English, Malay, Tamil. But this article is talking in Chinese, so I didn’t mention it.
To me, simplified characters are not guilty at all. It also saves a lot of time writing. And learning Simplified or Traditional characters will depend on your purpose.
Chinese Mandarin is Simplified. This is the official language. So if you need to study in China. Or want to work in Chinese-owned companies, of course, have to learn simplified then.
Traditional Chinese will help you better understand the meaning of Chinese. Therefore, if you want to learn about Chinese culture and history, you should study traditional Chinese. In addition, this is the language of Taiwan that they still preserve. If you need to go to labor export to Taiwan, you should study traditional Chinese.
Simplified Chinese or Simplified Chinese Simplified (simplified: 简体 中文 or 简体字; politically: 簡體 中文 or 簡體字; pinyin: jiǎntǐzhōngwén) is one of the two standard Chinese writing styles. This method of writing has been simplified by the Chinese People’s Republic of China to increase literacy rates and simplify Han writing.
If you are new to Chinese, you should learn about simplified characters first. Later it will study more traditional. If you just study and learn traditionally, it will take time.
If you have chosen the target the word Simplified. There is another problem:
4. Self-study at home or at the Center

When you have mastered the pronunciation and writing. You need to improve your vocabulary. The more you learn, the more convenient it is to use. Vocabulary can be learned according to the subject in the book. Or you can learn in advance the most common vocabulary.
Every time you learn vocabulary, relate it to a story . Both fun and easy to remember.

There are many reasons for being afraid to communicate when using the new language. In particular, the little vocabulary also makes us feel less confident. Building vocabulary helps you have a strong foundation and helps you feel more confident when using words.
Memorize the key phrases
When certain words are available, you need to learn the key phrases – which are frequently used.
Learning phrases means mastering everyday sentences and short conversations. Such as “Hello” ( Nǐ hǎo – 你 好) or ” See you later ” (huí tóu jiàn – 回 头 见).
When you master these phrases. You will easily string them into a complete sentence. By then, communication will be a lot easier.
Find Chinese people to talk to
The final step to improve your Chinese skills is to practice using it.
The problem is relatively difficult, so finding a native speaker is not easy. So, how to speak Chinese fluently?
In my opinion, you should register for a Wechat account. After that, I got acquainted with some Chinese friends. With a community of 1 billion users, this is the best app for you to get acquainted with Chinese.
In addition, you can join Chinese groups on facebook and zalo to exchange knowledge.
Conclusion: First, choose a course to study. Step 2 is to learn pronunciation, then learn to write. Next is to learn some common vocabulary and phrases. Finally, find someone to exchange Chinese with.
